35 Kit Kat Varieties From Around The World

When my friends ask me what kind of souvenir I would like from their worldly adventures, I automatically think about chocolate, wine, tea, and beauty products. The following would fall under the 'chocolate' category of "I'm not sure how good it will really taste so I'll feed it to the bf first."

Red Beak Soup

Kinako Ohagi: Azuki Covered w/ Sweet Rice

Soy Sauce

Here is the original article that I found these photos from:

It's interesting to note that a lot of these different flavors are from Japan.

How a Chanel Purse is Made

While perusing the internet, I found this wonderful article from purseblog.com that shows you how a Chanel purse is made. The process is quite amazing! I've reasoned with myself for years before I finally purchased my own Chanel purse because it is quite the investment. I don't regret it though because the quality and iconic design are conversation topics within themselves and classy never goes out of style.

Mikune

Located in Roseville, California, Mikune is a Japanese Restaurant with deliciously fresh fish! I've had my fair share of questionable rolls from other restaurants so you can only imagine my joy when I found this place.

Only downside to my visit is that it took a really long time for 4 rolls to come out. Reasonable though considering how busy the place was on a Tuesday night.

The atmosphere was lax and fun! They had some sort of game going on with wheel spinning near the bar area.

Definitely an awesome restaurant to visit if you're ever that far up Northern California.

Stella & Dot

I've never heard of Stella & Dot until I saw my co-worker wearing some really cute bracelets.
Here are some of my top picks from their site [http://www.stelladot.com/]:

50: Signature Handbags

The LA Times Magazine featured an article on 50 Signature Handbags that I thought was quite spot-on.
The 4 above are just some of my personal favorites from the list.

Review: Kracie Naive Facial Cleansing Foam

[credit]

I have combination skin and I get a few break outs here and there. You only need a small amount [the size of a lima bean] and it should be enough to cover your entire face. It foams up instantly and nicely when it comes into contact with your skin (rubbing in circular motions of course is needed to get the foaming action lol).

I got the green tea foaming cleanser and the smell is light. I actually really liked it because it didn't wreak of perfume but it smelled natural and clean.

Although I felt like it cleaned my skin really well, it did feel dry and I ended up having to put on more moisturizer than I normally would because I got some dry patches on my cheeks and forehead. The funny thing is that it wasn't a "my skin feels like it's pulled taut kind of dry" but a "all that oil and dirt has been removed and now I need to re-hydrate on a clean face" kind of dry.

Overall, I would not use this cleanser every day. I used it everyday for three days and had to stop using it because it dried out my skin so much that it started flaking. BUT I would use it once a week because I like the clean feeling I get from it :]

Ray Ban

I love the fit of these aviators because they don't overwhelm my face.
& the brown gradient on the lenses :]
Worth the money because I've been wearing them [on different occasions] with:
white dresses, tshirts, leather jackets and floral prints.
Extremely versatile!

Favorite Rainy Day Movies

It's pouring in San Francisco right now and when that happens, I like to bum around and watch movies

Devil Wears Prada
Bride Wars
Definitely, Maybe
My Best Friend's Wedding
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
The Notebook
P.S. I Love You
The Last Kiss
Never Been Kissed
Just Go With It

Yes yes. I like romantic comedies :]
The funny thing about me is that I could watch the same movie over and over again and still not be able to recall the details later.
The great thing about that is that I'll never ruin a movie for anyone :P

The Economics of Gold-Digging

This is an old article but it still makes so much sense and it's great for laughs.
Here is an excerpt of the beginning and if you're interested in the answer then go to the reference link below :]

Supposedly, a woman posted the following personal ad on Craigslist:
What am I doing wrong?
Okay, I’m tired of beating around the bush. I’m a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25-year-old girl. I’m articulate and classy. I’m not from New York. I’m looking to get married to a guy who makes at least [a] half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City, so I don’t think I’m overreaching at all.
Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could you send me some tips? I dated a businessman who makes average around 200 – 250K. But that’s where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000K won’t get me to Central Park West. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she’s not as pretty as I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I get to her level?

Imperial Tea Court

My friend and I went here for the Gaiwan Tea presentation.
The server basically tells you about the history of the teas and how to prepare them.
We got to choose two teas to try out.
Tip: if you seep green tea for too long, it becomes bitter.

Hand rolled tea leaves

Bowl for our almond shells

Almonds!

We then headed over to this cute little place to check out their baked goodies.

Macaroons! Looks like Vanilla is quite popular.
